While they filmed the movie everybody who know anything were sworn not to tell anybody about it. On a nice side note apparently Tom Cruise and the cast were at some local diner and Tom saw one of those donation jars for a family who had lost everything, so the story goes that he went to the ATM, took out a few grand and plopped it in there notifying the owner to take care of it asap. Kinda cool. Along the lines of Elvis choosing a young girl out of the crowd and promising to pay for her college. Like the effects were cool in the beginning of the movie but the plot and other peices of the storyline were very weak. I've heard that it's a better movie if you have read the book (and we all know how much I like to read; so that's not happening). But still, half way threw the movie I was ready to turn it off. Also, who would let their child go off to a certain death because he's curious and wants to watch???? Don't worry... u guessed it, he's already at home waiting for dad to get their while sipping a nice hot cup of coffee/tea! I totally agree.
