I’d like to introduce our newborn nephew Justin Sydney. He is simply beautiful and we are all very excited. Justin, Amy and Joe are all doing great. Click the image above for a few additional photos from the hospital and of Justin.

One of my favorite things about this book is that in this fictional world there are names given to ideas that ought to have names in the real world. For instance, Diax's Rake is the idea that you shouldn't believe something just because you want to. The name itself isn't that important, but I like that Stephenson recognizes that some ideas deserve to be acknowledged.
