Turkey Day 2006

Last week Aaron and I made our usual trek down to DC to celebrate Thanksgiving with Aaron’s family. To our surprise, it was a very easy travel experience – no delays, minimal annoying fellow travelers, and our luggage was successfully returned to us at BOTH airports. We flew down Tuesday night and therefore had a nice long visit and a great opportunity to catch up. As usual, we ate a lot of good food, made our traditional pizza dough centerpieces (please make sure to check out the photo of Aaron and Andrew’s Thanksgiving seal), played games and even squeezed in a few movies. It was a fun trip and a great way to kick off the holiday season. Click on the photo of Molly and Aaron above to see the small album of photos.

Great pics. thanks for posting them, I never seem to remember to take pictures.
Justin is a cross between Joe and your Mom it seems to me from these pictures. Not a lot of your dad’s side in this one!

One of my favorite things about this book is that in this fictional world there are names given to ideas that ought to have names in the real world. For instance, Diax's Rake is the idea that you shouldn't believe something just because you want to. The name itself isn't that important, but I like that Stephenson recognizes that some ideas deserve to be acknowledged.

Like GTA in the Old West, but so far, more interesting. I just hope that the buddy characters don't require the same kid-gloved hand-holding from GTA4.
