Justin has officially progressed onto baby food. I suppose this is a good sign in terms of his development and all and that’s good – but really we’re excited for the photo ops. I mean who doesn’t love a picture of a cute baby with some bright colored food all over his face. Click on the photo above to see the small album of Joe feeding Justin carrots for dinner. It was quite entertaining.

One of my favorite things about this book is that in this fictional world there are names given to ideas that ought to have names in the real world. For instance, Diax's Rake is the idea that you shouldn't believe something just because you want to. The name itself isn't that important, but I like that Stephenson recognizes that some ideas deserve to be acknowledged.
