Justin’s Bath

Justin in the bath

Back in January, after dinner one night at Amy and Joe’s house, we helped give Justin a bath. It was pretty cute. I especially liked his sweet bathrobe, which apparently was a gift from his Nana. Too cute! Click on the photo of Justin above to see the album of photos from the bath.

New Year’s Guests

Sarah, Aaron and Andrew playing Rockband

After Christmas with my family, we had our first house guests – Aaron’s Mom, sister Lisa and nephew Andrew. They came up to visit, see the house and help us with some projects. Aaron’s Mom came first and stayed for a week. She brought her sewing machine and impressive work ethic and dove right in. She not only helped clean (windows, blinds, etc), she also made us living room drapes and guest bedroom and bathroom curtains. During her stay, Lisa and Andrew came up for a few days. As soon as they walked in the door, they also went to work – unpacking, cleaning, organizing, hanging art. Aaron and Andrew found some downtime to play Rockband (that’s right, I’m the singer), and Lisa and I did some speed shopping (Lisa is a quick and efficient shopper). Needless to say, it was a very productive week and our thanks go out to our family for all their efforts.

Christmas 2007 at Mom and Dad’s

Justin and the presents

Christmas 2007 was quite the event. Some how all the stars aligned and we managed to get the entire family at Mom and Dad’s house from the night of Christmas eve until mid-day on Christmas. For those of you keeping track that translates to 11 of us all under one roof. Most of the family traditions remained in tact, even though some of us slept on an air mattress downstairs, we started Christmas morning the way we always do by coming down the front staircase in reverse birth order. There were tons of gifts exchanged and lots of good food and despite the craziness of it all it was really great to all be together. The following morning Aaron and I hosted our first real meal at our new house (I’m not counting the take out pizza we served during move in day :) – we had Mom and dad and Amy and Joe and Justin over for brunch (James and Chrissy went home to be with Chrissy’s family and Peter and Maria went home to be with Maria’s family). I love our family get togethers and feel lucky to be able to say that my family are my dearest friends.

Amy’s Birthday 2007

Mom, Justin and Amy

Right before Christmas the whole family got together at Amy and Joe’s house to celebrate Amy’s birthday. We had a fun evening of dinner and cake, Amy opened our presents and then we played a board game. It was a nice low key celebration and great to be together before the holidays. Click on the photo above to see the small album of photos from Amy’s party.
