A friend of Aaron’s sent him some sweet gold grills for Christmas. Apparently they tasted pretty bad (they were plastic), but I got Aaron to wear them long enough for me to take some pictures of his blinged out teeth. What do you think – should he incorporate them into his everyday look?

Back in January Amy and Joe left Justin with our folks and the four of us went out for dinner and to shoot some pool like we used to do back in the day. We played both 8-ball and 9-ball in our usual teams – Amy and Aaron and Joe and I. On the digital jukebox we played Foreigner, Journey, The Doobie Brothers and of course Bon Jovi. By the end of the evening we were just about even in terms of games won, but I’m pretty sure Joe and I were the overall winners.

We finished out 2008 with another excellent Christmas at my parent’s house. The whole family got together to celebrate, except for James and Chrissy who celebrated the holiday with Chrissy’s family in Connecticut this year. We missed them both, and things did seem a little quieter without James around, but we talked to them on the phone and look forward to having them celebrate with us next year. The day was full of the usual traditions, silly stocking gifts, mom’s homemade coffee cake and cocoa and lots and lots of presents. Everyone was very generous as usual and we all got some lovely things, but as you might imagine we all were most excited to watch Justin open and enjoy his gifts.

We celebrated Amy’s birthday in December with a family get together right before Christmas. We all went out to dinner together for some Italian food and then back to Mom and Dad’s house to have birthday cake and watch Amy open presents. Justin and Joe made Amy a special Happy Birthday sign and helped Mom decorate the house in honor of the occasion.
