I felt a cold coming on the day before, and on this day it hit me square in the face. If I was at home I would have had a day full of sleep and soup, but I’m glad I told my body to shut up and go outside because it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of our trip.
It was a sunny day with a deep blue sky and just enough clouds to be interesting. We took a counterclockwise route around the Trotternish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye. We visited the rocky hills of The Storr, the cliffs of Kilt Rock, the landslip known as The Quiraing, Duntulm Castle ruins, the Skye Museum of Island Life, and the village of Uig. We stopped back at the B&B for a rest and a change before a night drive west to Dunvegan for a fancy dinner at Three Chimneys.
