Aaron's Sidebar

(where's Sah's?)

Listening to:

  • Santogold
    Santogold
    Artist: Santogold
Reminds me of The Go! Team with half of the bouncy happiness drained out and replaced with M.I.A.

Last watched:

  • The Wrestler
    The Wrestler
    Director: Fox Searchlight
If there's one thing Aronofsky knows how to do, it's how to portray bleakness.

Reading:

  • Anathem
    Anathem
    Author: Neal Stephenson
One of my favorite things about this book is that in this fictional world there are names given to ideas that ought to have names in the real world. For instance, Diax's Rake is the idea that you shouldn't believe something just because you want to. The name itself isn't that important, but I like that Stephenson recognizes that some ideas deserve to be acknowledged.

Playing:

  • Red Dead Redemption
    Red Dead Redemption
    Publisher: Rockstar Games
Like GTA in the Old West, but so far, more interesting. I just hope that the buddy characters don't require the same kid-gloved hand-holding from GTA4.
