AnathemAuthor: Neal StephensonOne of my favorite things about this book is that in this fictional world there are names given to ideas that ought to have names in the real world. For instance, Diax's Rake is the idea that you shouldn't believe something just because you want to. The name itself isn't that important, but I like that Stephenson recognizes that some ideas deserve to be acknowledged.
